Hello! My name is Gabriela but you can call me Gaby. I live in Sydney with my husband and our daughters. I spend my days chasing my kids around the park, working on the couch with a cup of tea in hand, and teaching yoga. I'm a natural light photographer with a passion for yogis and families.
Since becoming a parent, I've fallen in love with photographing families and families-to-be. I love capturing those moments that can otherwise go undocumented: little hands reaching out to be held, a toddler kissing his baby sister, a husband and wife deeply in love with their newborn. It's my goal to make you feel comfortable in front of the lens, and for that reason I love to use natural light and photograph families in their happy place, wherever that is. Some of my favourite sessions have taken place right in the family's home, or at their favourite park or beach. I also love to photograph yogis and yoga teachers. As a yoga teacher myself, I'm able to suggest poses and correct alignment so that you end up with the best possible images.
A bit more about me… Growing up with a Colombian mom and a Canadian dad gave me a love for travel and adventure from an early age. Thanks to them, I also speak three languages: English, French and Spanish. After finishing my Bachelor of Arts degree in Vancouver, I moved to Sydney to be with my then boyfriend, now husband. We have two little girls: four-year-old Clementine and two-year-old Hazel. They keep me on my toes! I also teach yoga, specialising in pre and postnatal yoga. It's a total passion of mine and I love getting to know women so well throughout their journeys of pregnancy and early motherhood.
Still here? Here are a few more things you might not know about me: I'm obsessed with Anne of Green Gables, knitting, the beach, Netflix, tea and Anthropologie. I share more of my everyday moments over on Instagram, and you can also find my old blog here.
